It follows a logical flow. Say you want to create a dish or a cocktail: first you need to know which ingredients you need; once you do, make sure they're in the Ingredients module (or add them if they're missing). Next, decide where you'll buy them: once you pick the supplier or the supermarket, add that establishment. Now that you know the ingredients and where to buy them, you go and see there are different commercial products to source each ingredient; choose the ones you want and add them to the Products module if they weren't there. Now you can build the recipe and the cost breakdown: you create a dish or a drink and add the products/ingredients in the quantities you want. You'll see the cost breakdown update with every line, using the prices of the products you've added and applying the cost based on the quantity you enter.
Go to the Assistance module, where there's a custom Plate & Punch GPT. Tell it what you need and give it as much information as you have: what kitchen equipment you use, whether it's electric or gas, and the average, maximum and/or minimum working power if you know it. If you already have the production sheet, attach it; if not, explain the whole recipe step by step. In short, give it as much information as possible for an accurate result. It's very important to state the ingredient quantities in the recipe and whether it's for 1 serving or more. Ask it to show consumption both as a total and as an average per serving, and read the result according to how you set up the recipe.
In the Assistance module you'll see you can request a quote for your own exclusive GPT, trained on your workspace data on top of all the free GPT's training. Having your own GPT is very useful to: a) create new dishes with criteria aligned to your business, sales and pantry; b) dig into your business data (by item, by date, by main ingredient, etc.); c) calculate the food cost of dishes you haven't costed yet, based on the prices you're currently paying; d) calculate the energy spend of any recipe or its variations, including the monetary cost of that consumption based on your energy provider's prices (if you've entered them in the Energy module).
With the Plate & Punch GPT you'll find in the Assistance module.
